What is Holistic Sport Massage for?

Holistic Sports Massage is where we use sport, deep tissue and holistic massage techniques alongside

a holistic understanding.

Looking at things

holistically means we look at the whole of your body.

For example your right shoulder might be hu

rting but it could be coming from your left hip.

Bonkers right! The body is incredible!

As part of our mission to minimising discomfort, we often include the lovely hot stones or sports cupping depending on the therapist.

This means less pocking and more snoozing!

Through this treatment we can help treat sports injuries, life injuries, relieve chronic conditions and maintain body health through

regular massage maintenance.

As a company we still aim to keep the treatment as comfortable as possible with our heated bed, scented waxes and cozy towels, with an element of relaxation throughout the massage.

What happens in a Holistic Sports Massage?

We help treat your aches and pains

through sports massage,

which uses stretches, mobilisation and

muscle manipulation along with breath work

in order to help aid the recovery process.

Throughout we use and finish with relaxation techniques to ease you out of a stress response from everyday life back into a relaxation state.

Does it hurt?

Here at massage Massage-Addict we are

NOT believers of always being

'no pain, no gain' we however, believe that we can ease your soft tissue without causing too much irritation.

You may feel some discomfort during and after the massage, but we will try to keep this to a minimum through warming muscles up using hot stones and specific massage techniques.

After a massage if the muscles have been worked

deeply, you may feel like you have done

a really heavy work out over the following few days.

This will then it will ease off with increased mobility and a feeling of lightness.

What to wear:

We recommend to wear comfortable underwear for this treatment. You will be covered by a towel during the treatment.

We can do this fully clothed, and this can be done on a chair.

What Happens?

Generally you will have a quick consultation,

where we can ask questions

about you and your treatment.

We may get you to strike a few poses, to get an understanding of your movements.

We then explain where your clothes can be place,

and we will then leave the room

while you get undressed/changed

and under the bed sheets.

We will then returns when you're ready,

and put on PPE for the treatment.

At the end of your treatment, we will leave the room to remove PPE and wash hands,

Whilst your get dressed/changed and

open the door when you are ready.
